Launching my presidential campaign

I turned 35 a couple of weeks ago! A little surprised that entering my mid-30s didn't immediately fix all my problems. I still have student loans, and climate collapse remains imminent (are we thrilled with the tone of this blog already?)!

My fans (me and 3 other people) may recall I had another site from 2015-this spring. Spotty posting; mostly thinly veiled attempts to heal myself from a deadly mental illness. I also wrote some poetry that fucked, frankly.

Now it's the last day of my 4th favorite month and my yearning era is on deck. In an attempt to escape the weird, freakish clutch of Mr. Z**kerberg, here's a chronicle of my life as an aging single lesbian and a newly minted addictions counselor/social worker.

I feel the need to consume every morsel of content on the world-wide-web, AND since I know that's impossible, I'm going to share a few things that I've been thinking about recently:

  1. This song from Laufey's new album...bye!!
  2. The concept of warm apple cider donuts
  3. The book The Compound, which is the first audiobook I've ever listened to...and it was a nothing-burger in the end!
  4. Cuticle oil on my nails every night.
  5. These shorts.

Warmly,

Maureen
